Meet The Teacher!
At just 24 years old, Kameren received the honor of being invited conduct a concert in the New York City’s esteemed Carnegie Hall in Mid-America Productions’ 45th anniversary concert series. This honor coincides with Kameren’s mission to offer opportunity and insight to the students under his tutelage. With this honor, Kameren worked alongside composer and educator Dr. Jesse Noote to create a new major work titled “God is Love” that would receive its world premiere at the event.
In education, Kameren is an accomplished, multifaceted teaching artist across several disciplines. Along with directing choral music, Kameren is a director of musical theater and an award winning choreographer. Since beginning his teaching career in 2023, Kameren has directed/music directed seven theatrical productions, conducted numerous choral concerts, and written choreography for musical theatre productions as well as a cappella competitions sets.

**In this recording (If Music Be the Food of Love), Kameren served as a resident student teacher at Sumrall High School under the direction of award winning director Mr. Jeffery Coulter. All musical choices and teaching of this piece were decided by Kameren Batty.

In his career, Kameren has served as director/music director for more than seven productions, averaging two shows a year. Kameren is passionate about creating a community driven rehearsal environment in which students have the freedom to ask questions and explore the nuance of story telling through song.
